University of Kentucky
Lexington, Kentucky

The University of Kentucky is home to leaders in the fields of immunology, microbiology, and infectious diseases. As the flagship university of the state of Kentucky, the university is often called upon to respond to health emergencies. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Kentucky is embarking on an ambitious project to expand it research portfolio on emerging and re-emerging pathogens. To support these research activities, the university will renovate an existing aging BSL-3 facility that was originally constructed in 2000.
