The new JFHQ is a new 49,463 GSF building that will support training, administrative, and logistical requirements of the Kentucky Army National Guard (KYARNG). It was the desire of KYARNG to combine the departments into a single joint force headquarter building, as they were previously housed in multiple facilities at Boone National Guard Center.
The new building will support multiple groups including, joint operations center and the air national guard staff. The proposed building will have N+1 redundancy on the normal and emergency power systems.
