As part of Eastern Kentucky University’s College of Justice and Safety, the School of Safety, Security & Emergency Management offers education about fire and safety, occupational safety, homeland security, security management, emergency management, traffic safety, risk management and emergency medical services.

This project will add approximately 10,000 square feet to the existing 9,000 SF Ashland Building, and will include classrooms and laboratories with sufficient space for large vehicles, offices and restroom facilities. These facilities will be used in educational and training classes for Emergency Medical; Fire Protection; Fire, Arson and Explosion; Fire Protection and Safety Engineering; Homeland Security; and Occupational Safety.
